Al-Bayan is issued four times weekly by the Islamic Dawa Party, chaired by Iraqi prime minister Ibrahim al-Ja'afari.
An official source in the interior ministry (who was not named) said the security situation was stabilizing thanks to efforts by the ministries of defence and the interior. He noted that the security forces were improving and had been equipped with updated weaponry that reduced terrorist operations. The source added that Iraqi forces will continue tracking terror throughout Iraq and applying security strategies with the support of the united Iraqi people.
