Former Prijedor official, Milomir Stakic, pleaded not guilty to genocide at the tribunal last week.

Stakic, extradited by the Yugoslav authorities in March, described himself as a "doctor in general practice, currently specialising in physical medicine and rehabilitation in Belgrade."

Immediately after the accused entered his not guilty plea, prosecutor Susan Somers told the court additional charges would be levelled against him.

According to the indictment, Stakic and others planned and organised detention facilities or camps designed to bring about the "physical destruction" of the detainees.
