Karzai off to Kandahar

Islah is a state-run daily mostly in Dari.

Afghan President Hamed Karzai left for the southern province of Kandahar late on November 28. According to his press office, the objective of the trip is to hold talks with elders, religious scholars and officials in the province. Karzai was accompanied by Education Minister Noor Mohammad Qarqin and National Security Advisor Zalmai Rasul.
