Police in the Charkh district of the southern province of Logar have discovered and seized a large quantity of weapons during a two-day sweep, officials said on November 28. The operation was launched after the police headquarters in Charkh was attacked by the enemies of peace and stability on the night of November 26. A source at the interior ministry said police seized nearly 400 rocket-propelled grenades in the Aab Josh area during the first day of the operation, November 26. The source added that police, in cooperation with US-led Coalition forces, also discovered and seized some explosives and weapons while searching homes in the village of Fangram village on the second day.
